Old Fashioned
Ingredients
- 50 ml Bourbon or Rye Whiskey
- 1 Sugar Cube
- Few Dashes Angostura Bitters
- Few Dashes Plain Water
Instructions
- Place the sugar cube in an old fashioned glass and saturate with bitters.
- Add a few dashes of plain water and muddle until dissolved.
- Fill the glass with ice cubes and add bourbon or whiskey.
- Stir gently.
Sweet as the Punch
Ingredients
- 4 cl Bacardi Carta Blanca
- 2 cl Trois Rivières Ambré Agricole
- 10 cl Fresh Tropical Juice
- 2 cl Fresh Lime Juice
- 1 cl Cane Syrup (Guillot)
- 0.5 cl Absinthe (≈ 50°, just a dash)
- 4 fresh sage leaves (2 in shaker, 2 as garnish)
Instructions
- Pour into the shaker: Bacardi, Trois Rivières, Granini juice, lime juice, cane syrup and absinthe.
- Add 2 sage leaves and gently press with a muddler to release the essential oils.
- Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds.
- Strain into a large tumbler filled with ice cubes.
- Garnish with 2 sage leaves, slapped between your hands to intensify their aroma.
Victor’s Navy Grog
Ingredients
- 4 cl Bacardi Carta Blanca
- 2 cl Trois Rivières
- 4 cl Fresh Grapefruit Juice
- 2 cl Fresh Lime Juice
- 2 cl Honey Mix (1:1 honey and water)
- 1 cl Falernum
- 0.5 cl Green Chartreuse
Method
- Shake all ingredients with crushed ice for 8–10 seconds.
- Pour unstrained into an old fashioned glass.
- Top with a dome of crushed ice.
Garnish
- Mint bouquet
- Grapefruit zest
Old Maid
Ingredients
- 5 cl Gin
- 2 cl Fresh Lime Juice
- 1.5 cl Simple Syrup
- 4 Mint Leaves
- 2 Cucumber Slices
Instructions
- In a shaker, combine gin, lime juice, simple syrup, mint leaves, and cucumber slices.
- Add ice and shake vigorously.
- Strain into an old fashioned glass filled with ice.
- Garnish with a mint leaf and a cucumber slice.
Suffering Bastard
Ingredients
- 30 ml Gin
- 30 ml Brandy (or Bourbon or Cognac)
- 20 ml Fresh Lime Juice
- 10 ml Simple Syrup
- 2 Dashes Angostura Bitters
- Ginger Beer (to top)
Instructions
- Shake gin, brandy, lime juice, simple syrup, and bitters with ice.
- Strain into a tall glass filled with ice cubes.
- Top with ginger beer and stir gently.
- Garnish with a mint sprig and a lime wheel.
